"Remember Remember the 5th of November"

V was awesome! One of the few movies I watched in the last year.

Another good, but quirky movie from this last year, "Everything Is Illuminated", Elijah Wood.

and "Capote"

I'll have to check out V. I was biased against it b/c it's a "comic book" movie. But I should know better than to make pre-judgements!

We need a president next time who will ask us to stand together instead of this one who calls the party names if anyone in that party disagrees with him.

Agreed. That was a super movie. Eeerie how the situation was so much like the Bush agenda, wasn't it? I do hope we can pull together to change things.

Will buy V next time I'm at Best Buy. I have been dearly wanting to see it.

I've never heard of it, but I haven't heard of a lot of movies out these days, just don't pay any attention to them. Pass It On was a movie I watched in the last year that I really liked.

So how would this movie change how I'm going to vote in November? I've already made up my mind that I'm going to vote pretty much Democratic, if for no other reason than to try to get things back in balance again. Voting any other party at this time may just upset the wagon, that has happened before.

Haven't seen the movie, but it comes highly recommended.

I saw it a few months back and was delighted by its genius. It was breathtaking and unusual... I think it spoke volumes and should be watched more than once.

I stand with you azgoddess; the words of Dr. King is inspiration that needs to become a reality. Thank you for sharing that.

Gotta go check that movie out. Sounds just like the movie I need ;-)

OK...so I'm a few day's late on the uptake. OK, OK...so it's just that I discovered your blog a few days ago, and I'm just getting to read the V comments now.

I had rented this on a recommendation from one of my sons. "You have to see this movie, Dad. THe way you think, you will love it!"
Well, he was correct!

THis movie is so much more then a comic book that went to the big screen.

I have since hunted down a used copy of it and I have been lending it to friends to watch.

Before I let them have the movie, I give them the political agenda, and remind them of how f**king peachy things have gotton in the USA since King George was "elected."

Another flick that I have become attached to is "What the Bleep do We Know." No, it's not political, but it is definetly a movie that the religious right can appreciate. (That would be sarcasm)
