sigh...I love Molly , she always says what needs to be said....thanks for posting this..
Quick update- on Steve irwin, the Croc Links are still jammed- but his Orgnization Wildlife Warriors is up and running- click the title of my post over on WS and it is running smoothly....I learned alot about his work globally that I didn't know....thanks again.
The whole Bush regime has been about money. Money for big oil, for the defense contractors, for cronies, tax cuts for the wealthy, everybody's getting rich at the working tax payer's expense.
wow - noone said anything about my second bill of rights...
is it so far out of our reality now??
sigh
Money? Bush? Well, I never.
Oh yes I did!
Well any friend of John Good is a friend of mine.
Thanks for stopping by - I am not only a computer geek I am a degreed geek no less.
I used to be coffee but moved due to blog stalkerati
az, well I went straight to your 2nd bill of rights! what a visionary iconoclast FDR was, how unusual for the time and society he grew up in. not surprisingly, he was considered a traitor to his class by those of similar privileged birth. much like JFK, RFK, he looked beyond his patrician cronies & actually saw & listened to the poorer folk of the land. hmmm, my favorite on the 2nd bill of rights is #1 "job with a living wage". Everything else would follow from that, i think. thanks for that reminder of a president who worked for all the people! D.K.
I discovered Molly back when I was living in Austin, and was tickled to death to find out she actually lived just across the freeway from us in Travis Heights. I'll see if I can google up the story she tells about the pig that got loose in Travis Heights one afternoon.
My pipe-dream Sunday brunch always was sitting down with her and Ann Richards over fried green t'maters and just let the conversation roll. Oh, well. Maybe someday.
I like linking Miss Molly with the 2nd Bill of Rights...well done! She's always been a firm believer in "We're All In This Together".
az: Thanks for the link to the FDR's second bill of rights. I loved it. In fact, with a little 'googling' it is possible to show where the nation has gone backwards (in many cases--way, WAY backwards) in each of those rights these past 60-70 years.
As for Molly, she's one of 37 on my Top Ten Women trying to save America.
