i was surfing the net
looking for these huge
posters of peace
i saw on display
here
and found this:
US Institute of Peace
now i want you to look
towards the end
of the page
there's a graph
enlarge it please
then compare the numbers
to
Cost of War
as a yearly
contributor to this
government
i think
no, i know
they are not spending
my money wisely
so let's start telling
our newly elected
politicians
that we want to fund
Peace
Not
War!

and now for something completely different: Shut up and Sing

Peace.... Ha!! Not in our lifetime hon. And this isn't going to cost us nearly as much as it's going to cost our decedents, they will get stuck with most of the bill.
I wonder if the youth stop to think about that.
Boy, music and dancing and singing, I sure could use some of that. I guess I will go to the Eagles the 22nd and 23rd as they are having a great band those nights.
I guess I can go alone and try to enjoy it. Have a nice day, hugs.
One thing that might cheer you up - not one penny of our tax dollars go to the war. It all goes to pay the interest rate to foreign companies who hold the loans from this totally out of control imbecile government.
Peace!
The Iraq study group said today the war could cost up to a trillion dollars. Wow, imagine what we could have done for the people who were hit by Katrina, with that much money.
Some humor for ya.
My husband, being unhappy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods. We've discovered that when I'm in a good mood, it
turns green. When I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond.
What a great post azgoddess!
PEACE!
Holy cow. The graph showing 20% is based on number of applications approved. If you do the math by amount of fund dollars requested instead of 20% you get 0.01% of the money allocated!
Chartsmanship of liars.
Gosh, I slack off and other bloggers get all prolific! And speaking of peace posters, here is a favorite site: Propaganda Remix Project. Not a blatant plug, just sharing the joy!
Shean above is wacking his head...makes me so sad...
now about the Numbers- NOT Good...so depressing...so worrisome...and my son talks about it all the time He KNOWS ( 15....)
and about the Dixie Chicks- PBS had a great program about the making of the documentary...I can't wait to see it...can't.....
( I think when it is out I am going to have a double hitter- Inconvenient Truth and Shut up and Sing...they go together...)
