cars

as i was
driving
into work
today

i got to thinking

and
no
not

about the
thousands of
suv's with
one person in them
(well
not this time)

but about
American car
manufacturers

who
in their arrogance
(that's my word for it)
with the
american
consumer

given
rising
gas prices,
the
higher cost
of consumer
goods,
inflated house
prices
(i could
go on here
but i
won't)

well
they

still continue
to make
big
huge
poor
made
low warranty
non-hybrid cars

and these
car factories
are like
one
of the last
biz-ness-es
that haven't
taken
all
(i said 'all' here)
of their jobs
some-where-else

so
if you
were
to buy
a hybrid
Toyota
made in
the US of A

is that considered
an
American made car?

Hey, glad to see you back.

I buy based on the quality, reliability, and efficiency of the product, not where it is made. It is up to the manufacturer to create quality products I want to buy, like Honda and Toyota.

Let them raise gas prices, doesn't effect me all that much. I think gas is still way too cheap for all the damage it causes, but I don't think the oil companies should be rewarded with higher profits when their products cause so much damage, we need to heavily tax the windfalls.

The poetryman sounds like an idiot with many blogs. But never mind that, the question is. Why don't you bike to work?

Gee, a few months ago I heard Ford promise that by the 2010 or 2011 model (forget), all their cars will have side air bags! Wow, I was so very impressed!

Recently on TV, I've been watching clips from the film on what became of the electric car. Seems their manufacturer recalled (or seized might be a better word) 'em all and put 'em in the shredder. Just didn't consume enough oil I guess.

Ford wouldn't have done anything without help and a push from Toyota: Toyota 'Kick-Started' Ford Hybrid.

It's because guys like this have been in power too long. Guys who are stuck in 50's when oil was American and gas pigs were king. Boxer Tells Inhofe Who the Boss is Now
