frog jumping

one of
the
most
interesting

things that
happen this
past weekend

amidst wars
and bombs
and fake terrorists

"drum roll"

was the
angel camp
world series
of competitive
frog
jumping

seems this particular
event was
inspired by
one of my fav
authors

mark twain

he always
seemed to
have a way
of telling
people
what they didn't
want to hear
in a way
that first amused
them
and
then

when they thought about it

pissed them off!!!

we need more mark twains today!!!

and now for something completely different : Toxic Art

Frog jumping sounds like a fun distraction. And much healthier than frog licking!!

Love Twain and Frogs! The Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is a fave. A few yrs ago, I discovered his "Letters to the Earth" in which Twain takes the POV of Satan who is profoundly disappointed with the way man has turned out, for which he blames god (yesss)! ~~ D.K.

Mr. Clemens was very wise and insightful.

Ever see his Battle Hymn of the Republic

Most people in congress, I think, are very good veteran frog jumpers.

One thing I would like to ask Mr. Twain is how would you get frogs to swallow shot. Ah well. It's a distraction and a good one, too.

Interesting man, he wrote a lot of angry stuff that has never been published. But he had to make his living off of humor.

He didn't fix the world and another like him here now won't either. But I can relate to him and understand his anger, it flows through me at times.

He really wasn't out to make the world a better place anyway, only his world, and he spoiled himself plenty.

And time marches on.

I resemble that remark.
