more thoughts

ok~ let me say this first

i can't wait until fun friday tomorrow

this week has been one heck of a week
**
so on to what i wanna say - my more thoughts
**
do you-all think that a change of the guards

is really gonna make that much of
a difference in the 'state' of affairs?

as has already been pointed out
'they' will not be giving up their power willingly
and they sure have a whole boat load of it right now

not november 7th
nor any day soon afterwards

i believe

there is nothing they will not do
to keep their stranglehold on our lives

the nooses are tightening
around everyone's neck

and it's up to each of us
to turn off
and step up

and now for something completely different: Rachel Carson

Hi az-

I think that a change in congress can put him (them) in check. At least some. Right now bush is a rampant Constitution shredding madman. A little lame duck for his lame ass will be good for him.

There will probably be some vetoes and some "signing statements", but I think legislative/administrative gridlock will be good in this case.

He's the worst person that has ever sat down in the oval office. He's the pretendent and the ex-United States is his own personal playground, compliments of poppy and the neo-cons (sounds like a 60s pop/rock group).

Well, change won’t come quickly, or easily. They have made the system so complex trying to protect their interests that I think it needs to be blown up and rebuilt to be simpler.

I can't wait for friday either. I've been a single parent all week (hubby out of town) and it's KILLING me. I don't know how people do it.

I agree with everything chuck just wrote!

I think a change to the lesser of two evils will help a lot. But I like that link... Anarchy!

Reminds me of my old pal at Screams from the Wilderness... my anarchist friend from when I lived in AZ, who now lives in North Pole, AK!

Azgoddess, to be honest I don't have much hope for this system. These coming elections, I don't believe will be making any difference. I believe the whole system needs to be revised from the ground up.

Its kind of like that previous post a while back. You wrote about going in and cleaning and washing the white house. I think we need that definitely.

Thanks for the Carson link; loved this quote and I'm adding it to my collection:

"The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction."

This is a quote from Joseph Stalin:
"The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything."

Scary thought!

What's even more scary is that it might be the reality this country faces in 12 days.

I believe a change will come and it'll be good. I have to believe that or else I would be in serious depression.

As for Friday, as I write this, it's here.

Have a great weekend!

The change is already here. The political climate has changed. We will see it unfold bit by bit. If the Repubs keep office by thievery, we will see more political climate change than they, the repubs can handle. Happy Friday.

Hang in there...
the VOTE is just one step forward in the next part of a Needed Journey...we need to Eradicate the Criminals-
and it is going to take lots of work and many steps...many....

But we need to do it....
Think of the Ukraine in Fall 2005- they knew what to do and they did it- facing Great Criminal Corruption as well...and their Hope was almost eliminated with poison...they survived...they OVERCAME....

Hope Sister..HOPE....
