Blogs will never bring peace to this planet. Blogs are pretty much a waste of time.

I suggest that you put in a garden and tend to it. Hugs.

Blogs have brought much peace to the world, and opened up minds and dialogues...as well as reported EVENTS this past 5 years that the MSM neglected....the Founding Fathers would have loved all of us...and known that we are the Midnight Bloggers carrying messeges of Truth, Freedom and yes Peace, as we fight the Warmongers in DC....

WE are who made a difference in 2006 Election..and we will this election too...

Paul Revere was not just a Silver Smith....he was also an Engraver and he made the first Underground Newspaper...and he used to carry it far and wide in the middle of the night....and he even made a version that was all cartoons and drawings - for the people that could not read....I like to think Paul Revere would have KNOWN WHO we are and WHY we do what we do...

( there will always be those that sit idly by and serve the Brits Tea and ask why the Tyranny won't end...)

Bless you dear friend...you blog you write and we will always come and find you...Let's Peace Monger....

Namaste....

lol, is this blog supposed to blame the republicans for the war in Iraq, and generally everything? If it is, its funny how ignorant you are. None of the politicians care about you, NONE of them. Not the republicans, not the democrats, not even the Independents. I am proud to say that I am not going to vote during November. Don't trust any of the assholes in politics, none of them, they might have their feel-good campaign ads, promising change and all the other bullshit, but it never happens, ever. You say that it is unamerican or unpatriotic for me to intentionally not vote? I know for a fact that my ancestors would be ashamed with how bad ALL of our politicians have fucked up everything that they desperately worked for, my ancestors would agree with me if they were still alive.

cory,
"I am proud to say that I am not going to vote during November."

I am sure it is not "pride" you feel, my friend. It is apathy you feel. Pride has nothing to do with it.

I recommend you, and the million others who would like to remain free, get off your petards and begin to make a difference, if not at the national level atleast at the local.

Your ancestors sound lovely. My ancestors would not be "proud" if I sat around and watched them take a land that belonged to them. It's been done. Now, in order to bring one part of my ancestors peaceful legacy off of the godforsaken reservations and the other out of the dustbowl and King's shackles I will continue to fight for freedom and a form of government that I can be proud of.

The founding fathers and mothers of this once stolen land were left with no other recourse but to develop a nation with at least the hope of freedom, the scent of tyranny upon their heels.

Before the odor overwhelms your senses might I suggest you begin by ending your degradation of another's efforts and begin to make your own or leave your opinion about such behind with your apathy where it belongs.

Peace.

how did your response have anything to do with my writing? i am complaining about the politicians, not about defending the country or whatever, but since you mentioned it ill say something else. i would fucking die for this country like my ancestors did, if we were actually at war that is. the mere fact that we haven't had an official 'war' since ww2 sickens me. what sickens me even more is that this country would send more than 80000 of our troops over to Vietnam to die in the name of stopping communism (one of the most embarrassing decisions ever). When congress stops pussyfooting around and actually decides to declare war, i will go, and i will go bravely, but until then, there is something very wrong about going to fight for your country when you are considered a 'combatant' instead of a 'soldier'.
The reason im not voting, is b/c none of the candidates are even remotely qualified, plus...they're rich politicians...they don't share any of our interests...its like picking the best out of three evils, a bullshit idea.

Hi AZ,

Glad to see you're still up and blogging. I'm just dropping in for one of my rare visits to the blogosphere and thought I'd say hello. And peace to you as well.

Cory,
Good. I'll be right there with you, but I will vote and write my congress rep and senate and plug away at dissent until they take my cold, dead hands off of the keyboard and/or my stiff, dead feet off of the pavement.

Your tone at the beginning of your first comment was an attack upon az and her blog and then you say you won't vote. It's laughable at best. Your reasons for not voting are not, in my opinion, good enough to keep you from abstaining from the process. I do understand your thoughts on the candidates but not your attack on another for doing what is far more progressive than saying you aren't going to vote. Certainly nothing will change because of that, but what az does and will continue to do should make you glad that she is doing it instead of using the not vote line as an excuse to just throw her hands up and say "fuck it"... See? If you had not attacked az in such a way I'd have just thought to myself, "Yep. Add another apathetic citizen to the growing roster because of corporatism and lobbyists and greed and liars and money... I understand you. I just don't get you.

Peace.
