i've been
having a
hard time
this past week
my best friend
died
passed on
i guess
that's the bottom
line
for those
of us that
are
left
behind
he was
my best friend
that person
i could talk
to about anything
who knew full
well how
to push all those
painful buttons
and yet
made me laugh
so hard
i'd pee in my pants
(now that
only happened once)
he's gone
and i'm left
with a gaping
hole
in my heart
and a lot
of tears
i'll be back
when it gets a bit
easier
for me
hugs and peace
my friends
and for those
people
you
love
call them right now
and tell them!!!

And now for something completely different : One of the things we shared

Oh, AZ, I am so, so sorry this happened. Peace to you.
Keep him in your heart, and find comfort in your fond memories of times spent together.
My deepest condolences. I lost my Grandmother - the woman who raised me - a week ago. It's tough to get over the funk, but I've discovered that thinking about the good times brings a little comfort - even through the tears.
I'm very sorry for your loss, AZ.
We all pass on hon, even you will one day. Having said that, death isn't much of a concept to me being as I'm omnipresent and it's just one body.
I'm going to be doing some interesting posts for the next few days on my blog, you may find them interesting. Hugs.
Condolences. Take your time and grieve. Never stop thinking about them.
Peace.
I'm so sorry for your loss, sweetness. Hang in there. Take it a little bit at a time.
Hugs.
Ohhhhh goddess..... I am so sorry...many many hugs and deepest sympathies...there are so many things in life that we need to hold dear...take time to heal and grieve...such a loss...we will be here with open arms and hearts if you need us...always...
I hope that you are feeling a little better. It will take time. It's good to think of the good times and always keep your friend in your heart.
Friends are truly a gift.. I have asked two of my best friends to take care of "things" when I pass. I couldn't trust anyone else to respect my wishes.
Take care, you are in my thoughts.
Very sorry to hear of this loss. Your pain is so evident. I recommend Stephen Levine's wonderful book A Year to Live, which I read for a year or so after my brother died.
So sorry az. Just know, as you take the time required to sort it out - and heal, there's a whole lot of friends here who will celebrate your return when it's time.
Az, I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep your memories close, and try to smile once in a while. It gets easier with time. Hugs, dear one.
I'm happy to see you around again... hope you are feeling a little bit better...
Good having you back....
I sometimes wonder how I will feel when the best friend I have ever had passes on. I guess I will find out when she does.
But the older I get and the more deaths I see, the more I get conditioned to it. I note that it is this way with a lot of older folks.
belated condolences.
