The lights will be out,
as will the TV,
the PC,
the AC,
no driving,
anything requiring power, except the frig, and maybe I can turn the thermostat down for an hour so the compressor doesn't click on.

Maybe I'll do it for two hours, or three.

I'll go for a run and see if any of the suburbanites can live for an hour with their constant addiction.

Peace to you, too. That can be accomplished in the dark, as well as other things that don't require generated energy (but generate energy, hehe)

In Minnesota one GOP representative Michelle Bachman is sponsoring legislation, in support of inefficient light bulbs, as a freedom of choice issue.

I was pleasantly surprised that so many people and businesses in my little town chose to go "lights out". I took advantage and went outside to admire the night sky without so much light pollution for the first time(it was almost clear), in a word: Amazing.

thanks for posting on this...such a good idea..imagine if we did this one hour a day or a week- all of us....

could be amazing...

( I live near the Orthodox part of town- and I have noticed friday nights it is beautiful to drive through- quiet....mystical.....maybe we should all ponder having one night a week...)
